Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 19, 2026
This policy explains what information Fanfare collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It applies to the Fanfare mobile app and to fanfareticket.com.
Fanfare is operated by CH Investments LLC (“Fanfare,” “we,” “us”), 3701 Gulfstream Lane, Bakersfield, CA 93308, United States.
The short version: We collect as little as possible. We do not sell your personal information. We never see your payment details, because purchases happen on the ticket seller’s site, not ours.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Email address — when you join the waitlist, create an account, or contact support.
- Account details — if you create an account, a display name and your saved shows or followed companies.
- Messages you send us — the contents of support emails and any listing information a theatre company submits.
Information collected automatically
- Approximate location — so we can show you shows near you. You control this in your device settings, and you can deny location access and simply type a city instead. We use approximate location only; we do not track precise location in the background.
- Device and usage data — device type, operating system version, app version, crash reports, and which screens and listings are viewed, so we can fix problems and improve the app.
- Basic web analytics on fanfareticket.com — pages viewed, referring site, and general region.
Information we never collect
- Payment card numbers, bank details, or billing addresses. Fanfare does not process transactions. When you buy a ticket, you leave Fanfare and check out with the box office or ticketing partner, under their privacy policy.
- Precise background location.
- Contacts, photos, microphone, or camera data.
How we use information
- To show you events near the location or city you choose.
- To operate features you ask for, such as saved shows and season alerts.
- To send launch and service notices you signed up for. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To diagnose crashes, prevent abuse, and improve the product.
- To measure, in aggregate, whether a listing led to a click-through — including for affiliate commission reporting.
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not serve third-party behavioral advertising in the app.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:
- Service providers who run parts of our operation on our behalf — hosting, email delivery, crash reporting, and analytics — under contracts limiting them to that purpose.
- Ticketing partners, when you tap through to buy. Following that link takes you to their site, where their privacy policy governs. Affiliate programs may tell us that a purchase occurred so a commission can be paid; this reporting is aggregate and does not give us your payment details.
- Legal requirements — if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
- A business transfer — if Fanfare is acquired or merged, information may transfer as part of that transaction. We will give notice before your information becomes subject to a different policy.
Outbound links
Fanfare links to box offices and ticketing platforms we do not control. Some of those links are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Once you follow a link, that site’s privacy policy and terms apply, not ours. We encourage you to read them.
Data retention
We keep waitlist emails until you unsubscribe or we complete the launch you signed up for. Account information is kept while your account is open and deleted within 30 days of your closing it. Aggregate, de-identified analytics that cannot be linked back to you may be retained longer.
Your rights and choices
- Unsubscribe from any email using the link in its footer.
- Turn off location in your device settings at any time; the app still works with a typed-in city.
- Access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you.
- Delete your account and associated data — see the Support page for how, or email us.
California residents
Under the CCPA/CPRA you may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, request deletion or correction, and opt out of sale or sharing. Fanfare does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you may still make the other requests. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Users in the EU and UK
Where GDPR applies, our lawful bases are consent (marketing email, location access), legitimate interests (security, product improvement, affiliate attribution), and contract (operating an account you created). You may object to processing, request portability, or lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Children
Fanfare is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
We use industry-standard measures — encryption in transit, access controls, and limited data retention — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product develops. We will change the “last updated” date above, and for material changes we will give notice in the app or by email before the change takes effect.
